After You've Had An Abortion, There's Support

mother

After an abortion, there is hope.

Everyone is distinct, and each person's abortion experience is unique. Some people experience feelings right afterwards, while others may not feel them for months or even years. Others may have no sensations at all.

You could feel relief, humiliation, regret, denial, numbness, rage, anxiety, grief, and melancholy after an abortion. Your feelings are personal to you, and you have the right to express them in relation to your abortion. You don't have to keep them hidden or be hesitant to share them.

Abortion Can Affect Everyone, Including Family, Friends, and Loved Ones

Many of the emotions listed here, as well as helplessness, regret, and blame, may be experienced by family members, partners, husbands, and friends who have been affected by another person's abortion decision. Your feelings about another person's abortion are valid and relevant.

Many people find it useful to talk about their abortion experience and feelings in a safe, nonjudgmental atmosphere, regardless of how they are processing their abortion or the abortion of someone else. Help, healing, and hope are accessible without guilt or condemnation for anybody who has been affected by abortion. You're not the only one who feels this way. It's never too late or too soon to talk about your decision with someone who understands and is prepared to listen, no matter where you are in your post-abortion journey.

Reach Out If You Need Help, Support, or Encouragement

We're here to offer you support and care following your abortion, in either individual or group settings, according on your preference. Everything is kept private, and no one will know you've contacted us. We can also help you discover support outside of your immediate area if you prefer more privacy. We value your privacy very much. And, as usual, all of our services are and will continue to be free.

If you prefer to talk to someone about your abortion privately, you will meet with someone who is trained to counsel women and men who have been impacted by abortion and offer support and compassion.

You will meet people who have similar stories and experiences if you want to join in a group environment. You are free to share as much or as little as you choose. People that have been in your shoes and understand what you're going through will offer you love and support.

Our organization exist because we understand the circumstances surrounding your decision to have an abortion, and we care about your happiness, health, and well-being throughout the entire process.

Expressing your abortion experience can change the way you think about your decision and give you the strength to live in your freedom. You've already made the tough choice to have an abortion, so you've got nothing to lose now. Make a free phone call to us. We're available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
